I’ve written before about the importance of the pause…of how important it is that we stop the doing and pause in the being. This was brought to my attention this week…once by a wise coaching client and once by a dear friend who at this moment is in the ICU here in Wilmington, NC.
My client reminded herself, and me, that from the pause and three mindful breaths can come clarity and a fresh start into the next life moment…even if the moment in front of you seems frustrating or hard. With just a short, mindful pause there can be a major shift in consciousness and so an entirely different experience.
My friend in the hospital bed didn’t have to say a word. That I showed up for a few moments out my doing-ness to just be with him…well, it was the best moment of my day. In that pause there was a moment of connection and a glimpse of the Divine…him seeing Love in me and I in him.
There is great potential in the pause…for clarity, for wisdom, for a glimpse of the Divine. Do you need any other motivation?
Pause, just pause.
Much love
Paula
