What Makes Your Heart Sing?

I believe it truly is this simple, to just begin…but we create obstacles and distractions for ourselves that make it seem much too hard. We think that we are leaving our life to caprice and the unknown, operating without a net. We have a belief system built on fear and limitation and what can’t be done rather than what is possible for us at any time in our life. For the most part we simply don’t trust our heart…relying instead on what we are trying to figure out in our head…all of the details and the pros and cons and an accounting of what others think is best for us.

To begin with trust and confidence you must first come to the place inside of yourself where you know that “this” (whatever this is) is the right decision now. Not years from now or in the context of your entire life…but now. In order to have this confidence you must take the time to be still and to be aware of your deep desire. You must ignore what others say and come to a decision from your heart that I want to begin, this is my deep desire. You will feel the ‘rightness’ of your decision…when you stay in your heart, when you resist traveling back into your head where you experience doubt and the what ifs. When you feel the ‘rightness’ you’ll be able to say to yourself This is the right decision for me now.

The decision to begin comes from the same center inside of yourself as do the how and the what and the which way to go. The heart is the place of this discovery…of the direction from here, the next step, the answer, the nudge, the possibility. Pay attention to how you feel. Live wide awake expecting the how and the which way and the what to be revealed to you. Take time to be still every day so that you are able to hear what your heart is saying and so that you know what makes your heart sing.
