So if you are wondering what life is about…now you have the answer. Well, at least one answer. Life is about creating yourself. As we move into 2017, this is worth remembering. It is worth keeping in mind that you have the power to create who and how you are.
There are powers we don’t have…like controlling what other people think and do and keeping ourselves insulated from painful or difficult life experiences. We don’t have control over other people’s choices or how they live their lives. We can’t make it all ‘go away’ for those who are experiencing loss or grief…we can’t even do that for our own self. We can’t make someone else understand what they are not ready to understand. We don’t control other people’s feelings or how they treat others.
You get the idea. It is not that you aren’t powerful…it is that your power is confined to you. You have the power to create yourself. You have the power to be who and how you want to be in any situation and circumstance. You have the power to choose your thoughts. You have the power to believe in possibilities. You have the power to forgive. You have the power to create your life.
And at the same time, the core of what life is about is even more than creating yourself. It is more than being who you want to be. You are here for a greater purpose…one that you allow to emerge by being still, listening deeply and then responding with YES! It is about expressing the unique and essential YOU that you were born to express.
I want you to get this. There is no one else on the planet who can offer what you have to offer. There is not another soul that can be to the world what you can be.
Make 2017 all about you. The amazing and essential you. Use your power…and practice listening deeply.
